Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp Olive oil
  • 1 tbsp Sesame oil
  • 1.5 pounds Chicken breast Cut into small 1 inch cubes
  • 1 tsp Ginger Finely minced
  • 1 tbsp Garlic Finely minced
  • 1/4 cup Soy sauce Low sodium
  • 1 tbsp Vinegar
  • 2 tbsp Hoisin sauce Optional
  • 2 tbsp Honey
  • 1 tbsp Sriracha sauce
  • 2.5 tbsp Brown sugar
  • Salt To taste
  • Pepper To taste
  • 1/4 tsp Red chili flakes Optional
  • 1.5 tsp Cornstarch
  • 2 tbsp Water
  • 1 tsp Sesame seeds Preferably roasted, For garnish
  • 1 tbsp Green onions Finely chopped, For garnish

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil and sesame oil in a nonstick pot over medium high heat.

  2. Add chicken and saute until golden brown.

  3. Add ginger and garlic and saute for about 1 minute until fragrant. 

  4. Add soy sauce, vinegar, hoisin sauce, honey, sriracha sauce, brown sugar, salt, pepper, red chili flakes and mix until combined.

  5. Dissolve cornstarch in water and pour this mixture in the pot and mix.

  6. Cook uncovered for a few more minutes until liquid is reduced to your desired thickness.

  7. Remove from heat and garnish with sesame seeds and green onions. Enjoy!
