Quick and easy garlic butter mushrooms, made with simple ingredients in one pot. This 20 minute side dish or appetizer is loaded with Italian herbs.

Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp Butter Unsalted
  • 2 tbsp Olive oil
  • 1/4 cup Onion Finely chopped
  • 1 pound Button mushrooms
  • 2 tbsp Garlic Finely minced
  • 2 tbsp Parsley Fresh, Roughly chopped, Divided
  • 1/2 tsp Thyme Fresh, Roughly chopped
  • 1/2 tsp Oregano Fresh, Roughly chopped
  • Salt To taste
  • Pepper To taste
  • 1/4 tsp Red chili flakes Optional

Instructions

  1. Add butter and oil in a nonstick pot or pan and heat over medium high heat. 

  2. Add onion and saute for about 1 minute.

  3. Add mushrooms and cook until slightly golden brown. 

  4. Add garlic, 1 tsbp parsley, thyme, oregano, salt, pepper, red chili flakes and mix. 

  5. Cook until garlic is fragrant. Be careful not to burn the garlic!

  6. Mix in remaining 1 tbsp parsley and quickly turn off heat and enjoy.
