Ingredients

  • 4 slices Bread Classic choice is white. Can also use whole wheat or artisan bread
  • 2-3 tbsp Mayonnaise Full fat
  • 2 Tomatoes Fresh, Ripe, Large, Washed, Patted dry, Sliced about 1/2 inch thick
  • Salt To taste
  • Pepper To taste

Instructions

  • Spread a thick layer of mayonnaise on one side of each slice of bread.
  • Place sliced tomatoes on 2 slices of bread.
  • Sprinkle salt and pepper on top.
  • Cover tomatoes with 2 remaining slices of bread (mayonnaise side down). You will end up with 2 sandwiches.
  • Press gently on top to secure everything together.
  • Serve immediately and enjoy!

Notes

  • Read all my tips above.
  • Tastes best when served immediately. I don't recommend storing leftovers for later because the bread becomes soft and soggy.
