Ingredients

  • 1 cup Self-rising flour Plus additional flour for kneading and rolling.
  • 1 cup Greek yogurt Plain, Full fat

Instructions

  • In a large mixing bowl, add flour and yogurt.
  • Use a spoon to mix it together into a rough sticky mixture.
  • Turn out the dough onto a lightly floured surface and knead it into a ball of dough. Sprinkle some more flour, if the dough is too sticky.
  • Line two 7 inch round pizza pans with parchment paper or grease lightly with oil.
  • Roll out the dough balls and place them on these pans. You can also roll the dough directly onto these prepared pans.
  • Spread my favorite One Pot Homemade Pizza Sauce and other pizza toppings.
  • Bake at 400 degrees F for 15-20 minutes or until edges are golden brown and dough is cooked though and cheese is melted and bubbly. Enjoy!

Notes

  • For additional flavor, mix in ¼-1/2 teaspoon dried herbs of your choice, seasoning blends like Italian or Cajun or individual dry spices like black pepper, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder e.t.c.
  • If you want to make 1 large pizza, don't divide the dough in half and simply spread the dough in a 12 inch round pan.
  • I used two 7 inch pans. If you don't have that size, you can use two 6 inch pans for a thicker crust or two 8 inch pans for a slightly thinner crust.
  • You can use this recipe to make 5 mini pizzas for kids too.
  • Use full fat yogurt for maximum richness.
  • Only Greek yogurt can be used in this recipe since it has a thicker consistency compared to other yogurts.
  • Please make sure you are using plain yogurt and it's not flavored. There is nothing worse than biting into a vanilla flavored pizza. Yuck!
  • For a tangier flavor, use half yogurt and half sour cream.
  • This dough cannot be made ahead of time but the crust can be baked 1 day in advance.
  • Read additional tips and variations above.
  • Leftover baked pizza slices can be stored in a sealed container in the fridge for up to 2 days and reheated in the microwave.
