Key ingredients
- Puff pastry- Fast and simple way to obtain a delicious crust.
- Pizza sauce- Make your own or buy it to be quick and easy.
- Cheese- You can use a variety of different kinds.
- Mini pepperoni- Perfect size for mini pizzas.
- Pineapple- Adds a bit of sweetness in every bite.
- Onions- I suggest yellow onions for a good flavor pairing.
- Peppers- I like using green bell peppers best.
- Olives- A classic staple for pizza.
- Red chili flakes- Adds color and spice.
Variations
- To make pinwheels or pizza rolls- unroll the dough, spread pizza sauce and toss all the toppings you like. Then, roll the puff pastry from one end to the other into a log shape. Use a sharp knife to slice 1 inch circles and place them on a baking tray and bake until golden brown.
- To make pizza pockets- unroll the dough and cut small square or circle pieces. Spread sauce and toppings on one piece. Then, place another piece on top of the toppings. Press the edges until the pocket is secure. Place it on a baking tray and bake until golden brown.
- Instead of a mini version- Make a large sized version in a round pan.
- Use different meat options- Such as cubed Slow Cooker Ham, ground sausage, or leftover Rotisserie Chicken. Be sure the meat is fully cooked before adding as a topping.
- Give it some spice- By adding more red chili flakes, chopping up some jalepeno peppers, or even pouring on a little hot sauce.
- Chicken Alfredo version- Use Alfredo sauce as the base instead of marinara and top with some Easy Instant Pot Shredded Chicken, spinach, and Fetta cheese.
- Make it a dessert- Butter the pastry and add cinnamon and sugar for a simple treat. You can also add pie fillings.
- Hawaiian option- Add pineapple and Canadian bacon as toppings.
- Stuffed crust- Add some extra cheese and roll it into the edges.
- Use a muffin tin- To bake these in and make individual muffin pizzas.

- Fries- Enjoy this recipe with zucchini fries, sweet potato fries, or regular fries.
Tips and techniques
- If you are using pineapples, olives, jalapeños or even frozen spinach- Make sure to pat them dry and get rid of excess liquid with lots of paper towels or else you will end up with soggy pizzas.
- Line baking pans with parchment paper or spray with oil- To prevent sticking and a difficult baked on mess.
- Be sure oven is up to temperature- Before putting the pizzas in to bake.
- Serve immediately- Because they are best nice and warm with ooey gooey cheese.
- Careful not to over-bake- Because you want them to be tasty crispy but not charred.
- Allow space between slices- So that they can cook evenly and not stick together in a larger clump.
- Make it your own- Have fun with toppings, spices, and sauces to make it your own unique masterpiece. Kids can even help.
